This is our lesson for Wednesday April 5.
The setting for the book of Zechariah is the same as that of Haggai:
Zechariah 1:1 In the eighth month of the second year of Darius, the word of the LORD came to Zechariah the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet.
Review the national conditions of the time in which Haggai and Zechariah prophecied.
The book begins with the message, “Return to me and I will return to you!” (1:3). What important truths do you see in that statement?
Beginning in 1:8 through the end of chapter 6 we read of 8 visions that Zechariah received (apparently all in one night). Pick a few (or all) to study closely. What message of hope does each contain?

Bonus: Attempt to draw the lamp stand in chapter 4!
Share any thoughts, questions, or comments you have in the reply box below. We will review this material together Wednesday night, April 5 in our Wednesday Night Bible study. The class will also be livestreamed on Facebook Live.
